The Next Race at Bradbury

Following the success of the Bradbury Bruiser I bought myself a new toy, a Garmin Forerunner 305. I took my Garmin to Bradbury Mountain State Park this morning as I was planning to run a route I had in mind for another race at the park and wanted to check the distance. The course I worked out is on the West Side trails and includes the summit of Bradbury Mountain and two other rocky ledges that provide some great views. The total distance for one loop is 4.5 miles and is packed with some pretty serious ups and downs. These trails are wider and easier to follow than the East Side trails that we used in the Bruiser, but the hills make it a challenging course. Check out the elevation profile, that's over 1,600 feet of elevation gain. Just in case that doesn't seem difficult enough I'd like to make this a 9 mile race that runs 2 laps! The name Bradbury Breaker comes to mind.

Looks like a great course! Nice! I know you'll love the 305. Soon you'll feel naked if you run without it.

Looks fun!

I'm still trying to justify the expense of a 305; I'm leaning towards it, though.

Did you fill out your $50 rebate coupon yet?

$50 rebate? I don't know anything about that, but I did get a good price at Amazon.com. I've been having fun with it so far but I'm still figuring out how to use it.
