Despite the dark and exceptional wetness of the trails we had a good turnout for the Tuesday night run this week. I wore my new Garmin to measure and map the route which will hereafter be know as the Winter Loop. This route differs from the Summer Loop in that we park at the gate at the entrance to Twin Brook Recreation Area instead of

the parking lot and we eliminate the first short loop of trail that requires jumping over one of the twin brooks. The Winter Loop comes in just a bit shorter than the Summer loop at 6.0 miles, we ran slowly tonight in part due to my need to taper for the 50-miler this upcoming Saturday, but the saturated trails would have been slow no matter what we tried to do.

Thanks for the fun run around Twin Brooks. These Tuesday runs are a highlight of my week and a great alternative to speed workouts.
Good luck at Stonecat. I will be cheering you on, virtually unfortunately.
